Daisy is a common name of many different flowers with typical white
petals and yellow center. The most common daisies grown in flower gardens are Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum superbum),
and Ox-Eyed Daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum) . There are also
many other beautiful daisy-like flowers with colours other than white,
such as African daisy (Osteospermum fruticosum), Swan River
daisy (Brachycome iberidifolia), Clanwilliam Daisy (Euryops
pectinatus), but their seeds are not winter
hardy, so they are annuals in cold-winter climate. The English daisy (Bellis perennis) is
a beautiful parennial but it is also a
serious weed in the Northwest United States.
