The botanical garden was developed by Henry Huntington in 1903. Today the garden contains approximately 15,000 kinds of plants from all over the world.
The Huntington garden also has a large collection of rare books and arts that belong to Henry Huntington. By the time he established the institution, Mr. Huntington and his wife had amassed an extensive collection focusing on British and American history, literature, and art, as well as rare and spectacular plant specimens. |
