Camellias at Descanso bloom from early autumn to early spring, with best view from January through February. Unfortunately, we visited the garden in summer and could not see any camellia in bloom! However, we still enjoy the large collection of international roses at the garden.

Descanso Gardens is located at La Cañada Flintridge, about 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles. Descanso Gardens has more than 34,000 plants and more than 700 camellia taxa, largest collection of camellia in North America.
