The zebra plant has velvety dark green leaves with bright green veins in a very cute pattern. This plant is originally from the rainforests of Costa Rica. They can grow to be up to two metres high. Calatheas are named after the Greek word for basket. The flowers are contained in what looks like a basket in white racemes at the top of the plant.
