Tabebuia caraiba, Yellow Tabebuia, is a wonderful small tree from Brazil and is related to the flame vine and jacaranda tree. Tabebuia blooms starting near the first day of spring in South Florida. Its masses of yellow trumpet flowers catch everyone's eye in season. Tabebuia is a neotropical genus of about 100 species. Corolla colors vary between species ranging from white, light pink, yellow, lavender, magenta, or red.
