Sea-lavender or Statice is any of 120 species of flowers in the genus Limonium. They are members of the plumbago or leadwort family, Plumbaginaceae. Sea-lavenders normally grow as herbaceous perennial plants, growing 1-2 ft tall from a rhizome. The flower color is pink, violet to purple in most species, white or yellow in a few.
