Justicia spicigera is an evergreen shrub with tubular orange flowers. The species is native to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. The Mexican Honeysuckle bears clusters of bright orange tubular flowers, 1.5 inches long. They are enjoyed by the hummingbirds, and borne all year around, but particularly from spring to late fall.
