‘Newport’ is a compact cultivar of the Japanese snowball or sterile species form. It is a dense, upright, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that typically matures to 4’ tall and as wide. Non-fragrant, creamy white sterile flowers in dense globular inflorescences (to 3” across) bloom along the branches in spring.
