Alcea rosea is a hardy perrenial, and once established should flower for many years. The plants are easily grown from seed, and readily self-seed. Hollyhocks have large 4-5” saucer shaped flowers for up to 2 months in midsummer. They are available in a variety of colors such as yellow, red, purple, pink and white on large flower stalks up to 8’ tall.
