We took the old road from Nha Trang to Phan Rang then Dalat by the Ngoan Muc Pass. This Pass (altitude 980m) is 5km east of Dan Nhim Lake and 64km west of Phan Rang. As the highway winds up the mountain it passes under two gargantuan water pipes-still guarded by armed troops in concrete fortifications that link Dan Nhim Lake with the hydroelectric power station.
