Vung Tau and Long Hai, Vietnam.

Vung Tau is a resort-beach town, about 80 miles from Saigon. You can reach Vung Tau from Saigon in an hour with a fast ferry. You can also get there by taxi or bus. The ride will take two and a half hours by road.

Long Hai is a fishing town closed to Vung Tau in Ba Ria province. Long Hai beach is quieter and less commercial than Vung Tau's.

If you go to Vung Tau, you should drive along the beach road to the North side of the city to see the Buddhist temple. The outdoor statue of the Buddha there is one of the biggest in Vietnam. From the temple, you can have a stunning view of the fishing village.
