Daylily Flower Gallery. Hemerocallis citrina (Night Blooming Daylily)
This native Chinese species is truly one of my garden favorites. In July, the clump of H. citrina can put out 3-4' bloom scapes that are topped with dozens of very fragrant, narrow-petaled lemony-yellow flowers...that's right...fragrant! The flowers open in early evening and close early the following morning, making them perfect for those that like to enjoy their garden at night after a long day at the office.
