These are pictures of roses taking in 2006, most of them from the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Rose is one of my favorite flower. It has beautiful color, shape, and most of all, fragrant!

Many roses in this page are the winners of "All America Rose"in 2006, but most of them are good old roses that you can find them in my Rose page. This year four roses have emerged as AARS Winners: Julia Child, Rainbow Sorbet, Tahitian Sunset, and Wild Blue Yonder as the very best new roses of the 2006 growing season. These remarkable winning roses will brighten up any garden and capture the hearts and minds of rose lovers everywhere.

A rose is a flowering shrub of the genus Rosa, and the flower of this shrub. There are more than a hundred species of wild roses, all from the northern hemisphere and mostly from temperate regions. Most of roses selling at the plant nurseries are hybrid roses. These roses had been hybridized to make them more beautiful, more insect, disease resistant, and easy to grow. All-America Rose Selections is an association of growers dedicated to the introduction and promotion of exceptional roses. Since 1938 the AARS seal of approval has graced outstanding new rose varieties that have withstood the test of time – and Mother Nature.
